Kitahoro Senior High School (北幌高等学校 Kitahoro Kōtō Gakkō), or Kitahoro High School (北幌高校 Kitahoro Kōkō) for short, is the main setting of the series Kimi ni Todoke. It is the high school where main character Sawako Kuronuma, her friends, and her love interest Shouta Kazehaya attend.

History[]

  • Meiji 38 (1905) - Kitahoro Agricultural School established.
  • Taisho 10 (1921) - Renamed to Kitahoro Junior High School.
  • Showa 23 (1948) - Renamed to Kitahoro Senior High School.
  • Showa 30 (1955) - Completion of the library through citizen donations.
  • Showa 38 (1963) - Completion of gymnasium.
  • Showa 40 (1965) - Development of sports ground.
  • Showa 42 (1967) - The first school festival is held.
  • Showa 51 (1976) - Completion of interlocking clubroom.
  • Showa 52 (1977) - Baseball club wins the 40th Aodamo Tournament.
  • Showa 55 (1980) - To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the school's establishment, the staff at that time created the current school song.
  • Heisei 17 (2005) - 100th anniversary of school's establishment. Some new building construction.
  • Heisei 21 (2009) - At the 43rd school festival, second-year Class 2-D's Black Magic Cafe becomes a legend.[1]
