Summary[]
"Kazehaya and Sawako are still in the middle of their first fight. Summer vacation has begun, and Sawako decides to pursue her plans with Kurumi and holds a study session at her house. Will Kazehaya and Sawako be able to make up with each other even though neither of them is willing to talk?"
Contents[]
Chapter 104 - Relying on You[]
On the first day of summer vacation, two days after they had argued, Shouta and Sawako simultaneously decide to call each other to make up. But because of unknowingly reacting at the same time, neither manage to reach each other, and they panic. Just then, Shouta's father barges into his son's room, having learned the situation. As a result, Shouta has to tell Sawako over the phone to call back later. Just before cram school, Sawako meets up with Ayane, who informs Chizuru over the phone, and tells Sawako that only she can sort it out. Kurumi, who was also attending cram school, hears of the argument as well, observing that Sawako's relationship with Shouta has become close enough that they fight. At the end of cram school, on their way back home, Ayane rejects an invitation to a study camp at Sawako's house. She also observes that Sawako and Kurumi are getting along, the latter vehemently denying. Ayane notices Sawako's reaction, which could only have been because she had argued the other night, but claims that that isn't a bad thing. While Sawako and Kurumi wait for the same train together, Sawako has to deny that the argument would lead to her splitting up with Shouta. Empathizing with her situation, Kurumi therefore trusts Sawako to find a resolution. That night, Sawako texts a request to see Shouta. Shouta, however, argues with his father at home again, and storms out of the house. Sawako happened to be heading that way at the time, so they finally meet. Sawako speaks up first, saying that she didn't let Shouta know more about her, so he wouldn't know how she feels, and therefore she needs time to decide. Shouta accepts, and they hug.
Chapter 105 - Admiration[]
Shouta admits that he cannot influence Sawako's decision after all, because if he did, it would be like forcing Sawako to do what she doesn't want to do. Shouta also says he admires Sawako, and will always do, because he likes her, and they'll be fine when they're not alone. They hug again, and hold hands as they go back the way they came, deciding to "settle" their argument by calling it a draw.
The next day, Kurumi visits Sawako's house for the study camp. Only while they study together do they find out that they're aiming to teach different subjects. Kurumi then finds that her motive to become a teacher based on family pressure is weaker than Sawako's motive to express herself. Nevertheless, Sawako claims that Kurumi can still acknowledge herself by passing the exams.
Chapter 106 - You Can Forget[]
During dinner with Sawako's family, Kurumi gets asked awkward questions about her love life, and later in the night it also gets awkward when Sawako's mother assumes Kurumi is a friend of their daughter. Just before Kurumi and Sawako sleep, Kurumi admits that Sawako is one of the "straightforward people" she claims to be attracted to, and through much guilt over what she did in the past, could not be accepted as Sawako's friend. Sawako not only forgives but also lets Kurumi let go, as she never gave up on the friendship herself despite Kurumi's ill-doings.
The morning after, Kurumi and Sawako are together satisfied with the progress they've made. Kurumi thanks Sawako for the study session, and also hopes that they go to Hokkaido University of Education together.
Chapter 107 - First Love[]
Chizuru meets up with Ayane and Sawako again for the first time in a while. Sawako tells Ayane and Chizuru that Kurumi finally felt sorry for spreading the rumors about them two years ago. Ayane is impressed that Kurumi has come to genuinely like Sawako. Chizuru continues to be embarrassed at the relationship she has with Ryu. Finally, Ayane expresses relief for meeting up because she couldn't concentrate on her studies even when alone. But she starts talking about Pin, so Chizuru and Sawako guess to themselves that Ayane has fallen for him. At the train station on the way back home, Ayane happens to bump into Pin, who has to cover Ayane's mouth to stop her from shrieking, but in the process is interrogated by the security guard. After the security guard leaves, Ayane appears to not take Pin's kindness well, especially when Pin asks if she has older sisters, because that confirms that Pin is still single. Pin asks if something is troubling Ayane, to which Ayane responds by stating her issues with her studying. Pin holds her hands and tells Ayane not to worry and do her best. He then gets on the train without Ayane, who waits for the next one.

Author's Note[]
"I like rapeseed blossoms. I eat them! They're tasty when boiled with soy sauce, mustard or sesame sauce. I want to use them for tempura in the spring. The truth is, I prefer to eat food that others prepare for me, but sometimes I have no choice but to make food for myself. And of course fresh steamed rice is delicious!!"
Trivia[]
- The back cover features Sawako with a blue wreath.[3] In the English publication, this design is on the book's spine.
