Chapter 100 - Do Your Best[]
Chizuru decides to watch Ryu at his latest baseball match - his team had reached the North Hokkaido Tournament Semi-Finals. Ayane and Sawako join her in the audience. Chizuru is still unsure of whether to cheer on Ryu or not. Sawako reveals that she didn't speak to Shouta about her plans since the cultural festival, fearing another miscommunication. Ayane suggests that Shouta was still cheering Sawako on regardless. During the match, when it is Ryu's turn to bat, Ryu is hit by a dead ball, but recovers. Chizuru excuses herself from the stands, deciding to look out over an emergency staircase, where Shouta, who was carrying drinks for the others, happens to see her. Shouta reveals that Ryu's team are currently losing, and he can hear Ryu shouting from the mound. After thinking about it for a while, Chizuru returns to watch the match. She just happens to witness Ryu preparing to bat again, so hurries to the front of the stand, just behind the separating fence, and calls to Ryu loudly.
Chapter 101 - Good Luck[]
Chizuru is ordered back to the stands, however, her encouragement to Ryu goes through as Ryu's hit wins his team two more runs to tie their innings. However, the match quickly moves out of reach for Ryu's team, despite Chizuru's prayers. Afterwards, while walking away from the stadium with Ayane and Sawako, Chizuru realizes that she's been watching Ryu all this time. She remembers comforting Ryu at their usual place by the seaside, with Ryu promising that after university he'll return to manage the ramen bar and start a family with her.
Chapter 102 - Connection[]
On the penultimate day of school before summer break, Shouta encounters Ryu and Pin talking to each other, having visited the library. Shouta and Ryu walk out of school together, Ryu mentioning that he'll be staying with his brother over the summer. Ryu is also congratulated at baseball despite the loss, and Ryu hopes to play it during his university studies. Just then, Chizuru calls Shouta, informing of her intent to throw a party at Ryu's place, but Ryu snatches the call and expresses disappointment at the surprise attempt. That night, when Ayane and Sawako arrive, Chizuru continues to be embarrassed at her own revelation, but eventually expresses relief. She also offers to tell Sawako what Shouta told her before, but are interrupted by Ryu and Shouta's arrival. Chizuru finds out that she ran out of cola, so Shouta offers to buy some. Chizuru also shocks Sawako by offering to go with Shouta, just to ask if she can tell Sawako that he said "Don't belittle me" in response to him cheering for Sawako. Unfortunately, Chizuru makes too much noise, causing not only Ryu's father and Pin to come out in response, but also Sawako herself. She becomes visibly upset at the suggestion that Shouta was prepared to split from her.
Chapter 103 - Fight[]
Sawako promises to think about going to university. However, Shouta assumes that Sawako had already decided to study at Hokkaido University of Education, to which Sawako says that she is still deciding, and she also clarifies what she meant by no longer meeting in the morning. Shouta insists he wasn't trying to call off the relationship. Sawako tries to say that she still doesn't know much about Shouta, observing that he still gets nervous around her. Ayane, Chizuru, Ryu and Pin all rush outside to hear what is being said - apparently, Shouta is trying to tell Sawako to go where she wants, and not base her decision around him, to which Sawako cries. At this point, Pin breaks up the argument, while Ayane and Chizuru appear to express disappointment in Sawako. Sawako watches Shouta go back up to get his bag without looking at her. With no sign of his return, she ends up going home alone. At the end of the next day, school is officially off for the summer, and even Kento notices that Shouta has become distant with Sawako again.

Author's Note[]
"When I'm tired, I seek rejuvenation in scents, so I often use aromatherapy or wear perfume. I like the scent of rosemary and lemon, or rosemary and citron, or rosemary and orange... That's a lot of rosemary!!! I can't afford to get sleepy, so I don't use lavender very often..."
Trivia[]
- The back cover features Sawako with a poinsettia.[3] In the English publication, this design is on the book's spine.
