Summary[]
"Spring is in the air, but doubts about the future bloom along with the flowers for Sawako and her friends. A bright spot in this season of worry is White Day, where the boys return gifts for the ones they received on Valentine's Day. Kazehaya has a very special gift in store for Sawako!"
Contents[]
Chapter 84 - White Day[]
Ryu visits Chizuru early on White Day to give some of her favourite snacks to her. He also notices Chizuru's unease, to which Chizuru denies and calls him an idiot. A few hours later, at school, Pin passes throat lozenges to Ayane, asking to pass two of them on to Chizuru and Sawako. Shouta meets Sawako and they agree to go home together. Later on, Ayane and Kento meet up at a café, the latter not forgetting to give Ayane a present for her birthday. Ayane reveals that she is attending cram school in order to boost her chances of going to university. Kento promises to make it to the same university as her in order to spend more time with her and eventually marry her. Meanwhile, Shouta leads Sawako a long way around the local area until it gets dark and they can see the stars, after which Shouta gives Sawako her White Day present. Shouta also informs Sawako of a sports studies course at university that he hasn't told his parents about yet.
Chapter 85 - Final Year[]
The third year begins for the main cast. First and second-year students gossip about the celebrity couple of their school. Joe immediately disheartens some first-year girls with the truth about Shouta's relationship status. Ayane and Kento kiss again outside of school, while Chizuru continues to work at the ramen bar in Ryu's absence. On another day outside of school, Ayane confesses to Chizuru and Sawako that she intends to move out of the local area for university. Ayane insists that she values her friendship with Chizuru and Sawako, and will especially remember them. On another day, Sawako celebrates Shouta's birthday for the first time, giving him a pencil case with a mechanical pencil in it, as well as a letter directed to him, which he reads out loud. Sawako also presents a small cake for him to celebrate the occasion. On another day after that, Sawako is recommended by Pin to aim for the Hokkaido University of Education at Sapporo. Sawako then waits at the library while Shouta has his appointment with Pin, and encounters Kurumi there, who eventually reveals that her aim is to become a teacher, just like Sawako.
Chapter 86 - Exam Preparation[]
Shouta arrives at the library, seeing Sawako and Kurumi together for the first time in a while. Kurumi informs Sawako of a free trial at the cram school she's attending. On another day, Kento walks with Ayane, Kurumi and Sawako towards the station together, much to Kurumi's annoyance. While Kurumi and Sawako wait for the train heading opposite the direction Kento and Ayane took, Kurumi reveals that her studies was another reason that she stopped pursuing love, as she is also expected to continue a family line of teachers who graduated from Hokkaido University of Education. Sawako is shocked that Kurumi is putting herself under so much pressure. Meanwhile, on their train home, Ayane feels under pressure as well to just be Kento's girlfriend. Finally, Sawako gets home and informs her mother of her enrollment in cram school.
Chapter 87 - Desired Path[]
Shouta is again shouted at by his father for changing his decision over his future. He tells Sawako about it the next day, and both agree to work hard together. When the discussion leaves Sawako in tears again, Shouta responds with another kiss, and vows to work hard for Sawako's sake. Later on, Pin does not seem impressed that Kento is following Ayane to university for the sake of it. Ayane, who is next to have her careers meeting, appears to eavesdrop on their conversation. However, during her own careers meeting, Ayane stumbles even more, being told by Pin that she is still a child, thus becoming more unsure of herself by the time Kento sees her again.
