Contents[]
Chapter 72 - Forty-Five Minutes[]
Shouta and Sawako finally share a kiss outside the karaoke bar during a snowy Christmas evening. They also continue to embrace each other and declare their love. Shouta then takes the lead, requesting a serious talk about their relationship. Sawako calls her parents to inform them that she will be coming home late. Shouta also speaks on the phone and reassures her parents too. After hanging up, Shouta and Sawako spend the next 45 minutes at a café. Shouta admits to wrong-doings regarding any miscommunications, which were partly down to his lack of confidence. He tries to say that Sawako has always held a place in his heart since they first met.
Chapter 73 - Paying Attention[]
Shouta reaffirms his commitment to his relationship with Sawako, vowing not to give her away for anything else. He also feels guilty for hurting Sawako more than anything else. Sawako holds Shouta's hands, reassuring him that she will only allow herself to be hurt by Shouta. And with that, they exchange Christmas presents. Shouta and Sawako continue to hold hands on their way home together, Sawako feeling glad that Shouta is finally being true to himself. At around the same time, Pin quarrels with Ryu and Chizuru over a conversation about Shouta, while Kento and Ayane wait for a train together. Some time later, as they reach Sawako's house, Sawako apologizes for her earlier outburst before saying goodbye to Shouta.
Chapter 74 - Girl Talk[]
On the morning of Christmas Day, Shouta receives a call from Kento, who reveals that he's going out with Ayane. Shouta refuses to divulge information about his relationship, but ends up hearing Kento talk for a while about his. Later on, Sawako wakes up and receives presents from her parents. Ayane and Chizuru also turn up spontaneously, and are invited in. With the three of them alone in Sawako's room, Sawako speaks up first. Ayane and Chizuru are impressed that she managed to talk it out with Shouta. After Chizuru fails to compose herself, Ayane speaks up next, disdainfully admitting to dating Kento. Though Chizuru and Sawako have differing reactions, Ayane claims that Kento is a good guy at heart, having comforted her after her date with Mogi went badly. Finally, it is Chizuru's turn to talk.
Chapter 75 - Happy Moment[]
Chizuru shows off the pink rose that Ryu bought for her. She then says she heard news about Tohru coming back, and is looking forward to the occasion. Sawako reveals a pair of winter gloves that she got from Shouta, while Ayane reveals that she received a bouquet from Kento - the one that Joe trampled on during the party. Their conversation then leads them to wonder where they would be in ten years. Just then, Mrs. Kuronuma welcomes the girls back downstairs again for lunch, and allows Ayane and Chizuru to stay for the family party. Though Ayane and Chizuru are initially shocked by the suggestion, Sawako invites the boyfriends over. Ryu is not happy that Chizuru showed his present to others, while Sawako blocks Shouta from the room Ryu and Chizuru are in, out of embarrassment. Chizuru peeks at their conversation, forcing them to smile. Kento, the last one to arrive, does so before Sawako's father returns home. Shouta promises Sawako's father that he'll take the relationship seriously. Afterwards, Sawako and friends all agree to visit the shrine on New Year's Eve, which is also Sawako's birthday.

Author's Note[]
"The long, long Christmas season is finally wrapping up for Sawako and the others. It's finished. Over. It lasted a while! So much fun stuff comes out at Christmas. I like Christmas with my friends, but also with my family. Don't point party-poppers at people!"
Trivia[]
- The back cover features Sawako with a Christmas wreath.[3] In the English publication, this design is on the book's spine.
