Author's Note

"The illustration on the front cover of this volume shows the three members of the Kuronuma family. I casually asked my editor what she thought about putting the Kuronuma family on the front cover and she said she really wanted to see it, so I suddenly got serious about drawing it. I never expected to illustrate Sawako's father and mother in color. The first page of Episode 49 shows Sawako and her father when Sawako was little. When I was drawing it, I felt a little sorry for Sawako's father. Cheer up, Sawako's dad!"
