I know right... The anime may have a slow pacing but is one of the best in its genre

I was just thinking about the pacing. I've decided it's not so much slow as it is quiet. A lot of it is Sawako's internal monologue. I think it conveys the experience of a shy, socially-awkward teen nicely.
